Governor Whitmer appoints career public defender to the bench
Adrienne Nicole Young has been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve as a judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals.
For the past eight years, Adrienne has served as a public defender at the State Appellate Defender Office (SADO) where she represents individuals appealing felony convictions and sentences throughout the state. As an advocate, Adrienne is smart, creative, ethical, compassionate, hard-working, and collaborative. As a result of this combination of traits and skills, Adrienne has changed the landscape of criminal law for the better while obtaining positive outcomes for the people she represents.
