CLS/SBM - Spring Conference

Register now for the Criminal Law Section's Spring Conference, which will be held in person on Friday, May 31, at Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth.

Court of Appeals Judge Adrienne Young kicks off the program with introductory remarks. Kathy Swedlow, SADO's Criminal Defense Resource Center Manager, follows with a presentation on creative legal writing. SADO/MAACS Youth Defense Project Director Josh Pease will discuss youth waivers. Tom Grden, Clinical Case Manager for the Lawyers & Judges Assistance Program (LJAP), closes the morning session with a discussion on compassion fatigue. After lunch—Wayne County Special Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Tim Baughman shares his expertise on hearsay evidence. Josh Blanchard, trial attorney and certified forensic computer examiner, wraps up the program with a discussion on digital forensic evidence.
